I set up this blog mainly to tell the world about the best hotels in the world. I have stayed in many of hotels in my 37 years on this Earth, so I like to think that I know what I am talking about.
One of my favourite places I have ever been to is the beautiful island of Zante, Greece. This island will always have a special place in my heart as it is where I went on my first every holiday before I even met Craig. The island brings me a sense of independence that no other place has ever managed to bring to me. The only problem with Zante is that I thought that I had outgrown it. (It's been a long time since I was 16 lol).
That was until I found the Agrilia Hotel in Zante in 2010. Craig booked the hotel at the time and I had very little input in the entire holiday, but I am thankful for that otherwise we wouldn't have found this little gem. It's close enough to the main beach in Laganas, which is where all of the nice restaurants and bars are. It's also close to the strip if you like a loud night, but it's far enough away to be in its own little world. Just a 20 minute walk away from the hustle and bustle of Laganas, but miles away from the stress and noise. We relaxed in the Agrilia hotel for 2 weeks and despite it being a half-board hotel we were spoiled. We left the hotel only a couple of mornings to try something other than the included continental breakfast.
The owner, George is a very polite and welcoming man and he bends over backwards to ensure that you enjoy your stay. He even arranged to hire a car for us which was dropped off at the hotel so we didn't have to go anywhere.
