Up until my trip to Mexico in 2011 I had never even heard of H10 Hotels. Apparently they are a huge Spanish hotel chain with 43 hotels in a number of locations across Spain, as well as a few in London, Berlin, Rome and of course Mexico - where I stayed. The funny thing is it was only when I was looking for H10 hotels discount codes for my next holiday in the Costal del Sol that I realised I had stayed in one before! So to date I have stayed in the following H10 Hotels:
- Ocean Coral and Turquesa - Mexico
- Lanzarote Princess hotel - Lanzarote
Many of the largest UK travel agents such as Money Supermarket, First Choice, and Thomson use H10 hotels as the provider of the accommodation for their package deals. This little golden nugget of information will no doubt save you some money in the future.
The travel agents use H10 hotels because they have excellent all-inclusive hotels in prime locations that offer superb value for money. They need companies like this to earn their reputation - so they will always pick the best hotels on offer for the price of your holiday. However they need to earn money somehow so they add some commission on to the price of the booking. If you book directly with H10 hotels and take advantage of the many voucher codes that are available, then you can save a significant amount of money on your next holiday. All that's left to book then are the flights and transfers, which are also a lot cheaper if you book these directly instead of through the tour operator.
After staying in an H10 hotel on more than one occasion I have to say that I am very impressed. The hotel that I stayed at in Mexico was called the Ocean Coral and Turquesa, which is a 5 star beach hotel. Of course it was an all inclusive hotel which meant that all food, drink and sports and activities were included in the price. The hotel was very luxurious and I was waited on hand and foot by the staff. There were 3 or 4 huge outdoor pools as well and because it was in Mexico the weather was absolutely beautiful for the hole two weeks. Unfortunately at the time, voucher codes weren't very popular so I paid full price for the holiday (through a travel agent as well I am ashamed to say).
The other hotel that I stayed in was the Lanzarote Princess Hotel about 6 years ago. This hotel was a four star and was a lot more basic in terms of facilities etc but from what I can recall it was very comfortable and excellent value for money considering the price I paid for it. I don't think H10 hotels were offering discount codes back then so even if I was a bit more savvy I probably couldn't have saved any more money - the only tool I had at my disposal back then was haggling with the travel agent.
